Spring time in SF

I bumped into an old acquaintance, Don Jacot, last weekend at my boyfriend, Nick's art show.
An incredible self-taught photorealist painter, he invited us to a little soiree to celebrate the finishing of this painting after 4 months in the making. Click on the image to enlarge. (Really, you should.) Little did we expect 20-something artist folks well into their 60's, 70's, 80's (and one dude at least 90,) to be there getting smashed and making scads of unforeseen humor. Nick leans over and whispers to me at one point while eating, "I'm having a ton of fun!" Our kinda crowd.

Me, Don, Nick.
Attempting to show a portion of the ice cream project I started last year, by this July, I've been in the studio painting more. Almost finished with my butchy friend Danielle here, rainbow sherbet.
Another one I recently started. Jim, rocky road. You can visit my website to see more. If they ever come to pass as a whole, there will be 31 in the series.
And then this happened in my back yard. So pretty I had to keep it for goodness sake's.

And then this happened on my way home from work today. For those of you who don't know, San Francisco is basically an enormous wind tunnel in the spring. Riding your bike home westbound is a nightmare for short-banged donners.

See shoulda-been-stoned, sideways, windy tree-shadow video, here.
