Fashion Show, Ohio, more brown drawings

This entry is a little all over the place, but it's been a while and although there's not many drawings, I've been taking pictures of a ton of stuff. Including, some lovely models at the APAture fashion show, my studiomate, Miss Amy Ho was producing and exhibiting in a few weeks back.
Teeth! Miss Ho and Jess before the show.
Bok Choy Apparel T-shirts were silly.

Then came the real trademarks of the runway, big hair by Faithy Leong
...and hip juts...
...and hair-handbag twirls, (below by Shani Solomon for MXW clothing.)
Then came I Shan Liou. I want one.

Nick is happy Amy is up next.
Amy's work is fun. See a review of this show here.

The day after this show, one of good friends got married. Also, knowing I was heading back to my old hometown, West Milton, after 9 years, I bought some film for my Holga, excited to capture it's color and beauty. Unfortunately, I bought too slow a speed and all my pics turned out blurry. These are the the "best" ones.
Angela and Andrei Bouzikov just married!
Linds, (my date,) and me all casualed up.
Meanwhile, back in Ohio, the baby conifers my dad planted 15 years ago are all grown up! (My old house in the background, Rangeline.)
Beauties.
Soon after our tour, my friend Abby and I bumped into my mom, back at another old home I used to live in, what we dubbed the "Ladybug House". My old room, upper left corner, where I used to climb out the window to sunbathe on the patio roof.
And yet another house I lived in, (in focus via digital,) The Gingerbread House.
Conveniently located across the street from my high school, Milton-Union. Go bulldogs. Yay.
And later in Columbus, before dinner at Schmidts, Thom and I as beer-drinking Germans.
Thom afterwards.
Nick, watering plants in his alley.
Now you can refocus. This is my mom in our old backyard circa 1993.
This is that same little o' tree today!
And here in the same spot, me with Foxy, in 7th grade.
Ohio is green. Beans.
My old swimming creek.
The town park where you could sled downhill on snow days.
Church of the Brethren. I was once Luthren Brethren. True story.
I had to get closer to get a look at these amazing sunflowers. They're crazy big!

See
...and back in SF at the conservatory of flowers, I snapped a few pics of my favorites in the Dahlia Garden just before my battery died.

Also, random...last week my preschoolers graduated! (That's Aiden embarrassed while everyone sings "Mary Mack". See his belly button!)
Me and my J'Den! Little troublemaker but I love him!
Meet Charli, the cutest most naturally-curly eyelashes you'll ever see, and future student. Little miss sassy starts in my class on Monday.
And of course, more brown drawings.

  1. Fashion shows are fun and creative way of highlighting some of the ethical issues surrounding the fashion industry. Organising a fashion show can be very time consuming and there is a great deal of hard work involved.
